Koshin moved to Kahului, Maui at the end of high school and graduated from Maui High School in 2003. Wanting to learn Japanese more and eventually move to Japan, he went to the University of Hawaii at Manoa to pursue and graduate with a B.A. in Japanese language with the intent of moving to Japan and pursuing a career there. Unfortunately, the financial crisis hit at the tail end of 2007 and crashed the financial markets in 2008, ultimately stopping his goals of going to Japan, which pushed him towards a Financial Career in Hawaii instead.

In 2011 he started his career with New York Life, beginning as an Insurance agent with his life and health insurance licenses, and later that year obtaining his FINRA Series 6 and 63 securities registrations to become a Financial Services Professional for NYLIFE Securites LLC (member FINRA/SIPC), a Licensed Insurance Agency and a New York Life Company.  Koshin also obtained his FINRA Series 7 and 65 registrations and is now a Financial Adviser with Eagle Strategies LLC, a Registered Investment Adviser and a New York Life Company.

With these licenses and registrations, Koshin can help his clients with a holistic approach to finances. This helps ensure that all of his clients are better prepared for the future in regards to insurance, investments, retirement, education funding, estate, and overall financial planning.

Koshin has two kids and a beautiful wife, and on his days off loves to spend time with family by going to the parks, shopping, cooking food for the family, along eating at all of Hawaii’s great restaurants. Unfortunately, nowadays he doesn’t have the opportunity to partake, but he also loves playing soccer, basketball, and golf.
